About Ventura
Off-market property transactions deserve a better structure.
Most deals are still run through email chains, spreadsheets and phone calls. Information gets lost, vendors are left guessing, and transactions fall over in the months between agreement and completion. Ventura exists to fix that.
What we do
Ventura Investments London is a private platform for UK property investment, across commercial and residential. We introduce off-market opportunities to qualified investors, provide the analytical tools to appraise them properly, connect borrowers with lenders, and run transactions through to completion in secure deal rooms.
We work with three groups. Investors get access to instructions they would not otherwise see, and professional tools to assess them. Vendors market assets discreetly while watching real buyer activity rather than chasing an agent for updates. Brokers and introducers reach a qualified investor base without giving up the client relationship, with commission terms agreed before marketing begins.
We are a brokerage first — vendors come to us directly, and we compete for that work like any other agent. Working with broker partners at the same time raises an obvious question, and we would rather answer it than leave it hanging: what stops Ventura approaching a partner's client once we have seen the deal? The answer is a published, binding commitment not to, alongside a fee split in equal shares between every party — both set out in the Ventura Broker Charter and written into our Terms of Use as a reciprocal obligation. Where an instruction comes to us through a partner, the client relationship stays with that partner.
That is not generosity. A network that quietly competes with its own partners loses their best instructions first, and usually finds out far too late.
We are not a listings portal. Publishing an asset to a public website is the opposite of a confidential instruction, and it is not what a vendor with a sensitive disposal needs.
How we operate
Matched, not broadcast
Opportunities are introduced to investors whose stated acquisition criteria actually fit. A deal shown to the wrong hundred people is not distribution — it is noise, and it erodes the confidentiality a vendor was promised.
Confidentiality is structural
Vendors set the confidentiality level on every instruction, and access gates are enforced by the platform rather than by policy. An information memorandum is not released until an NDA is signed, because the system will not release it.
Honest about what we know
Market data carries its source and last-updated date. Analytical tools show their workings. Where a figure is an estimate rather than a valuation, we say so on the page — not in the small print.
Regulated participants only
Broker partners must evidence redress scheme membership, AML supervision, professional indemnity insurance and data protection registration before submitting a single instruction.
Our approach to confidentiality
Confidentiality in property is usually a promise. On Ventura it is a permission model. Vendors choose who can see what at each stage — from a public summary through to named invitees only — and buyer identities remain anonymised to the vendor unless disclosure is specifically authorised.
Where an introduction is made, it is mediated rather than automatic. Members are not cold-contacted through the platform, and a request to connect must state its purpose before it reaches the recipient.
The company
Ventura Investments London Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17040517, with its registered office at 40-44 Church Street, Reigate, Surrey RH2 0AJ.
Ventura was founded by Jack W.H Smith, who spent more than twenty years as a quantity surveyor in construction before moving into real estate brokerage.
A quantity surveyor’s job is to account for every cost, variation and deadline on a project, and to know at any moment where a scheme stands. Moving into brokerage, the contrast was hard to ignore. A transaction has as many moving parts as a building — solicitors, surveyors, lenders, planners, searches, conditions — but almost none of the discipline. Information lives in inboxes. Nobody quite owns the timeline.
And deals do not usually fail because someone kills them. They fail quietly: a document nobody chased, a party who went silent, a fortnight that passed without anyone noticing. By the time it is obvious, the buyer has found something else.
Ventura exists to remove that. One place where the instruction, the documents, the parties and the outstanding items all sit together — and where the platform notices what has stopped moving before anyone has to remember to look.
Ventura is a technology and introduction platform. We do not provide investment advice, legal advice or tax advice. Please read our disclaimer before relying on any information on this platform.
